ABOUT Bid to Buy AUCTIONS

Bid to buy auctions functionality allows Wildlife users to perform day-to-day, anytime buying online. This allows the user to load, buy and sell Wildlife online on the website immediately, but only to registered users of the website.

The seller of animals on Bid to Buy, process is as follows:

  • User login to the website;
  • Select “Load Bid to Buy”;
  • Load the details of the lot to be sold;
  • Select the period the user want a lot to display;
  • Confirm details of information loaded for the lot;
  • The system will send a Transaction Confirmation document with payment details to the seller;
  • As soon as payment has been made, the admin will activate the lot.

The buyer must log on to his profile, navigate to the lot he wants to buy and add it to his auction basket. The website will then inform the seller that a successful bid has been received on the specific lot. The seller will then log on to his profile and accept or reject the bid of the lot within 24 hours.

  • If the user wants to buy the lot, the user must be logged on as a registered user.
  • You can then click on the Button “Buy” on the specific lot.
  • The system will prompt the user “Do you confirm you want to buy the lot: Yes.
  • If the user selects yes, then the system must send the user seller an email to accept the transaction.
  • No admin intervention is necessary, and transactions can be completed directly between the buyer user and the seller user.

As soon as the buyer and seller have accepted the transaction, a “conditions of sale” of the lot will be sent to both parties listing the following:

  • Buyers details;
  • Sellers details;
  • List of Wildlife acquired with prices, quantities and details;
  • Special conditions of sale (for example including delivery costs and insurance costs);
  • Delivery address for the buyer;
  • Invoice details of the buyer and seller confirming the pricing and terms of the transaction;
  • The seller will then be invoiced for the commission as per the terms and conditions of the particular auction.

The final arrangements will then be between the buyer and seller for the delivery and payment of amounts due. Wildlife Auctions is a facilitator of the transaction and cannot be held responsible for the delivery of Wildlife as well as payment of the amounts due. The Wildlife pricing on lots includes in most circumstances the kilometre range in which the animals will be delivered free of charge. The terms and conditions will be very specific if the seller needs to pay for extra kilometres. There are no commissions paid on any Bid to Buy transactions. Sellers will pay a once-off marketing/listing fee of R250 per month per listing of any animal for sale on the website.
