ABOUT TENDER AUCTIONS

The online auction functionality allows users to sell and buy a specific lot of Wildlife on a tender principle. These specific lots are allocated a specific timeline to bid for the specific lot. The bidding process is live and interactive, and users can track the bidding for the period allocated to the lot. At the closing of the lot, an email is sent to both parties (buyer and seller) confirming the successful bidder of the outcome of the online auction. The seller of the lot must then accept the final bid for the lot.

Tender auction functionality allows Wildlife users to perform day-to-day, anytime buying online by a tendering bidding process. This allows the user to load, buy and sell Wildlife online on the website immediately, but only to registered users of the website.

For the seller of animals on the Tender Auction, the process is as follows:

  • User login to the website;
  • Select “Load Tender Auction”;
  • Load the details of the lot to be sold;
  • Select the period the tender auction must run;
  • Select the period the user wants the lot to display;
  • Confirm details of information loaded for the lot;
  • The system will send a Transaction Confirmation document with payment details to the seller;
  • As soon as payment has been made, the admin will activate the lot.

The buyer must log on to his profile and navigate to the lot he wants to buy and add it to his auction basket by bidding on the specific lot. The website will then inform the seller that the reserve price has been achieved on the specific lot. The seller will then log on to his profile and accept or reject the bid of the lot within 24 hours.

  • If the user wants to buy the lot, the user must be logged on as a registered user.
  • You can then click on the Button “Bid” on the specific lot.
  • The User can then tender bids on the specific lots, against other users.
  • At the end date of the tender auction, the system will check if the tender prices exceed the reserve price and send the required confirmation to both parties. If the reserve price has not been met, the lot will be unsold.
  • No admin intervention is necessary, and transactions can be completed directly between the buyer user and the seller user.

As soon as the buyer and seller have accepted the transaction, a “conditions of sale” of the lots will be sent to both parties listing the following:

  • Buyers details;
  • Sellers details;
  • List of animals and hunting packages sold with prices, quantities and details;
  • Special conditions of sale(for example including delivery costs and insurance costs);
  • Delivery address for the buyer;
  • Invoice details of the buyer and seller confirming the pricing and terms of the transaction;
  • The seller will then be invoiced for the commission as per the terms and conditions of the particular auction.

The final arrangements will then be between the buyer and seller for the delivery and payment of amounts due. Wildlife Auctions is a facilitator of the transaction and cannot be held responsible for the delivery of the Wildlife as well as payment of the amounts due. The Wildlife pricing on lots includes in most circumstances the kilometre range in which the animals will be delivered free of charge. The terms and conditions will be very specific if the seller needs to pay for extra kilometres. There are no commissions paid on any Bid to Buy transactions. Sellers will pay a once-off marketing/listing fee of R250 per month per listing of any animal for sale on the website.
